Typical of my normal routine, I’ve fallen behind. I begin to wonder if that is because of my lack of organizational skills or my inability to motivate myself properly or whatever. But mainly I’ve been completely uninspired to create anything myself. I’ve gone into Waiting God mode where I’m waiting for the next big thing to come along.

One of my major factors that I say prevents me from being able to focus on site-work and novel-work is this commute that I’ve been complaining about for some time. In order to eliminate this I’ve put my house on the market. This forces me to pick up after myself and keep the house clean for potential buyers. This probably is not a bad thing.

The bad thing is things keep happening to the house I’m trying to sell. The water department dug up my front yard to do something to the water meter. The wind has broke panels off my carport which I would fix whether I was selling the house or not but it’s not that cool.

I finally got the Ford dealership to fix my truck in the way I asked them to fix it back in November or December. It took me taking it into the shop 3 or 4 times and lack of vehicle time of about 8 days. Over the space of 4 months this is not that bad of a thing but it adds to my distraction.

The last breakdown was my computer. A power surge or something screwed my memory and it took me a week or two to diagnose the problem and by that time I’d dedicated myself to reinstalling the operating system and finally installing a 60 Gig hard drive I bought a few months back.

Despite it all, it’s still been a pretty good couple of months. I had my eyes lasered 3 weeks ago, so I can see without glasses or contacts. My buddy Clayton flew Brady and Darby and I up to Utah for skiing and site seeing and eating. I burned off all the Christmas fat I put on with some vicious workouts in January and I’m about ready to get started again. I am just trying to explain the reason for the infrequent updates to this site.

Overall, I’d just wanted to say “Thank You” to everyone who says, “Hey man, I keep visiting your site for updates. What’s the deal?” Thanks for bearing with me. I’ve got a plan, see? It involves words and art and maybe even word balloons and art. And hopefully monkeys as well. But for now, I’m waiting to get my house sold and playing Diablo II and the Baldur’s Gate series.

As a side note, I’ve eliminated all listed e-mail addresses from the site because of the sheer amount of SPAM I’ve been receiving and put up a little mail-to-James form. If you choose to list your e-mail address in the discussion that’s up to you.
